Wheelock founder Lucy Wheelock left a legacy of inspired action and a mission that has not wavered in more than a century: to improve the lives of children and families. Generations of Wheelock graduates have kept the promise of that mission since 1888.
Learn more about Wheelock’s extraordinary focus and its growth through the years in this video:
Lucy Wheelock believed in social justice and in focusing on people’s areas of strength to help them grow. In short, she believed in teaching the art of human possibility. It’s the approach we take with our students and it’s the way our grads tackle the challenges they face in schools, nonprofits, radio stations, hospitals, and startups around the world.
In the following video, Wheelock grad Lissa Piercy explores the strength it takes to do the kind of important work that Wheelock students and alums do every day in their quest to improve the lives of children and families.
